On The Day

Please call us before leaving home to make sure that the weather is suitable. (It may be nice and sunny, but the wind might be outside our aircrafts limits. You can also check the current weather and forecast weather here.)

Please aim to arrive for your trial lesson at least 30 minutes before to ensure that there is time to fill out the required paperwork.

Also, don’t forget to bring your voucher with you or if you’ve lost it, a form of valid ID.

Your flight is a Trial Lesson which means that you will receive a full brief before you take the lesson so that you are prepared to take the controls of the aircraft and fly the aeroplane yourself under the guidance and supervision of your instructor.

The flight that you are taking is a trial lesson. This can be your very first flight logged towards gaining your Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL), or you can simply take it as a one off experience flight. If you wish to sight-see as well as fly, don’t be afraid to ask the instructor for help with the flying. It is important that you get as much enjoyment as possible.

The aeroplane has 2 side by side seats and has full dual controls so when your flying instructor shows you manoeuvres like climbing and descending, straight and level flight and how to turn the aircraft, you are able to easily take control of the aeroplane.

The Piper Aircraft you will be flying in is a modern and comfortable aircraft. Sensible and comfortable dress is recommended. Your instructor will fully brief you on the day and answer any questions you may have. If you have any special requests on where you would like to fly (E.G: Over your house, the football grounds or other specific area) don’t hesitate to ask. The instructor is there to make your flight as special and as informative as possible.

If you have any more questions, then please don’t hesitate to contact us here.
